Want great skin?
Pineapple.
Want to fight off diseases?
Pineapple.
Other benefits of pineapple include: being rich in fiber to aid digestion, a large amount of manganese which promotes bone health, and strengthening gums. So basically, to sum this up, eat your pineapple, people!
Now back to the purpose of this post: Smoothies! Today's recipe is something I stumbled upon when mixing fruits together that I liked and hoped the result would taste good. I can honestly say I've had this smoothie three times this week and I almost don't want to make any other kind of smoothies anymore, almost. Seriously, it's that good. Here's what you need:
pineapple
blueberries
strawberries
coconut water
For this smoothie I used fresh pineapple, strawberries and blueberries as well as some frozen blueberries and frozen strawberries just to make it on the cooler side. I recently just started putting coconut water in my smoothies and it's fabulous, especially in this smoothie.
So again I don't really measure anything out in my Nutri-Bullet I just kind of throw everything in there. I did about a handful of pineapple chunks, a handful of blueberries, about 4-5 strawberries and then just filled in the frozen fruit at the top. I ALWAYS add the liquid last just to make sure I don't over do it. I usually fill the liquid up to right under the rim of the cup. If using mostly frozen fruit I suggest filling whatever liquid all they way up to the top to prevent it from being to chunky.
There you have it for this weeks smoothie, throw some pineapple, blueberries and strawberries together with some coconut water or milk and you may just have the best smoothie ever.
